SENDIASS stands for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information, Advice and Support Service.

SENDIASS is a free, impartial, and confidential service for young people with SEND and their families. There is a SENDIASS service in every local authority. You can find which Local Authority covers where you live using this link here.

The purpose of the SENDIASS is to help parents, carers and children understand and access the appropriate support and services available to them.

The advisors at SENDIASS have detailed knowledge about SEND law, guidance, local policy, issues and services.
